Ashleigh brings on new talent

As Ashleigh Hume steps away from her desk in preparation for the birth of her first child she goes knowing that the transition will be as seamless as possible.

Ashleigh has been busy ushering in her replacement in the form of 21-year-old Dante Stillitano.

The job is central to the workings of the business and involves managing the flow and payment of invoices as well as admin and reception.

The fact that NSS is the largest stevedoring business and one of the largest logistics and transport businesses in regional Queensland has not phased Ashleigh, who has been in the role for two years.

She has been well supported by the business and has passed a hack onto to Dante to use all the advice those around can give you.

“I think it is just the depth of knowledge that everyone has,” Ashleigh said. “They’ve been doing it for along time and know what they are talking about.”

Meanwhile, Dante is looking forward to the challenge and says it was great chance to get experience in finance and administration.

Ashley is due to give birth on 4 November and is taking 12 months maternity leave where she’ll be bedding down her infant daughter with husband Justin at their Alligator Creek home.
